DRAFT TERMS (PENDING FORMAL LEGAL & COMMERCIAL REVIEW)

Terms of Service & Booking Conditions

Draft Framework • Governing Jurisdiction: Republic of Ghana • Status: Staging Review

Notice on Commercial State: Operator profiles (e.g. STC, VIP Jeoun, OA Travel, VVIP) and schedules displayed in this staging environment represent reference/demonstration fixtures. Final commercial carriage agreements and live carrier API connectivity are subject to formal owner execution.

1. Platform Relationship & Scope of Service

EzyTravels operates as a digital travel aggregation and ticketing platform connecting travelers with participating Ghanaian road transport operators (including reference carriers such as State Transport Company, VIP Jeoun Transport, OA Travel & Tour).

By searching, holding a seat, or purchasing an intercity bus ticket through EzyTravels (web or mobile), you enter into an agreement with EzyTravels for ticketing services and the operating bus carrier for physical transport.

2. Seat Concurrency & 10-Minute Hold Window

When you select your seat on an intercity bus route, EzyTravels places an atomic cryptographic lock on that seat in our database for exactly 10 minutes. During this hold period:

  • The seat cannot be reserved or viewed as available by any other passenger or terminal desk.
  • You must complete your payment authorization via Mobile Money (MTN, Telecel, AT) or Visa/Mastercard before the countdown expires.
  • If payment is not confirmed within 10 minutes, the hold expires automatically, and the seat is returned to public inventory.

3. Cancellation, Rescheduling & Refund Policy (Staging Demo Policy)

* Owner Decision Pending: The schedule below reflects the technical staging demo policy and is subject to final commercial review by platform stakeholders and bus operator management.

More than 4 Hours Prior to Departure (Staging Demo):
Eligible for a 90% refund of the total ticket fare. A 10% platform handling and payment processing fee is retained.
Between 2 and 4 Hours Prior to Departure (Staging Demo):
Eligible for a 50% refund of the total ticket fare.
Less than 2 Hours Prior to Departure or No-Show (Staging Demo):
Non-refundable. Seat cannot be reallocated prior to departure.

* Approved refunds are credited directly back to the original Mobile Money account or payment card via automated ledger journalizing.

4. Boarding Verification & Digital QR Code Tickets

Each confirmed booking generates a digitally signed Ed25519 QR barcode ticket. Passengers must arrive at the designated bus terminal (e.g., VIP Circle, STC Tudu, OA Kinbu) at least 30 minutes before scheduled departure.

You must present your valid digital ticket on your mobile device or physical printout alongside a valid Ghanaian national ID (Ghana Card, Passport, or Voter ID). The bus conductor will scan and authenticate the digital signature before admitting passengers to the vehicle.

5. Luggage Allowances & Prohibited Items

Each ticket entitles the passenger to one (1) primary luggage piece weighing up to 20kg stored in the coach luggage hold, plus one (1) small personal carry-on item.

Hazardous materials, contraband, flammable chemicals, firearms without police authorization, and unsealed commercial goods are strictly prohibited. Operators reserve the right to inspect luggage in accordance with Ghana road transit safety laws.

6. Carrier Delays & Route Alterations

While EzyTravels coordinates real-time schedule tracking, bus operators may experience departure adjustments due to traffic congestion along major transport corridors (such as the Accra-Kumasi Highway or Pokuase-Nsawam corridor), weather conditions, or mechanical safety checks. EzyTravels will send automated SMS/Email notifications of any delay exceeding 30 minutes.

7. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from ticket transactions that cannot be resolved through our Support Workspace will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Ghana.
